Meditations and Daydreams

Meditations for the Feminine Natural Soul

A Book of Meditations by Raymonde Savoie

The better part of a year contained in a simple tome: poetry or meditations that speak to the soul, revere Nature, comment on life from a female introvert’s point of view, and basically return the reader to a time of contemplation and dreams.

In this Ebook of about 100 pages, “my short writings evolved organically from poem/meditation form into letters and, as I shared them with a few friends in cyber-land, they slowly took on a life of their own. Although I wrote my “Meditations” as a means of bolstering my spirits in the dark gloomy days of winter, I discovered that they became a form of healing therapy, keeping me focused on the spiritual aspect of my life. Making them a daily writing practice, they brought me comfort as an ongoing chronicle of my personal spiritual journey.” Here are a couple of samples…

I Create

Extending myself to
my family, my community
sometimes I stretch myself too thin and
I must return inside to where
the stretching began:
coming back home to myself
to my heart, to my home
where my own creativity resides

Settling into the flow, losing time there
needs all my attention
direction
permission
We all create in order to accomplish
our destiny, what has meaning for us

The process is our path to joy
Today, give yourself permission
To create
For joy

Sensing Day

I like this lazy day
even the traffic knows
it’s a quiet, slow-paced day

The sky has draped itself in grays
the land clothed in a soft sensual mist
Today is a treat-my-senses day
some essential oils to excite the olfactory nerve
to invite happy memories ~ fresh bulb flowers
daffodils, hyacinths, a tulip or two, balsam

Time to gaze at colourful images, carefully chosen
screened – no bad news today, no harsh violent scenes –
A joyful extravaganza for my soft eyes beholding

Time for an experimental exercise in sensation
of taste – an exotic fruit perhaps, savour its newness
or a flavoured coffee, a special tastebud excitement
a walk in the rain is in the offing without my hat
~ so I can feel the rain pearl on my hair, my eyelids

I will breathe moisture in along with the wind
my feet may play at the puddles
Solid earth holding raindrops in its palms
today only soft enjoyment
for my eardrums, temperate music
for soul rejuvenation

Calm reverie to transport my thoughts to an island
somewhere sun-winds caress long leaves
I’ll be there shortly
care to join me?
